‘Make it Happen’ - Porsche European Open
TVC // digital // SOCIAL // PRINT // OUT-OF-HOME
In the beginning, there was a dream – and an unbending will to make it happen. From playing with the replica toy Porsche car in his living room to having the Porsche logo on his golf bag. Paul Casey has been a passionate Porsche fan ever since his childhood days when he also dreamed of being one of the world’s best professional golf players.
To promote the English golfer becoming Porsche AG Brand Ambassador and the upcoming 2021 Porsche European Open a TVC, social and print campaign was created, showing how Paul brought his golfing and car boyhood dreams to life with Porsche proud to support him on his journey.
The “Make it Happen” campaign honours the path with a look back at his childhood – with dreams of Porsche sports cars, first swings of the golf club in his back garden as well as the moment in which he came close to his personal idols for the first time as a volunteer at the 1991 European Open - the very same event he later went on to win.
“When I was a kid, I dreamt of two things. I wanted to become a professional golfer and drive Porsche sports cars. I’m so happy at being able to live the dreams,” said Casey.
“Paul Casey has fulfilled a life’s dream and inspires people to follow their goals with courage and passion. Our ‘Make it happen’ golf campaign this year underlines just how powerful such a demeanour can be,” Detlev von Platen, Sales and Marketing Executive, Porsche AG.
Working alongside the good people at Octagon the TVC and shoots were shot in Germany, Los Angeles and remotely in the UK due to post-Covid travel restrictions.
