They say SUV’s can’t be sporty. And golfers, well they’re not real athletes.
This campaign for Porsche proved them wrong on both counts.
‘I am Athlete’, featuring Xander Schauffele, promoted the new Cayenne Coupe SUV through Porsche’s title sponsorship of the European Open Golf tournament in Hamburg.
The campaign focused on the aligned dedication, hard work and focus that goes into being a professional golfer and creating the ultimate sporty SUV Porsche.
The ‘I am Athlete’ communications promoted the whole event and ran as a TVC on Sky Sports, on digital + social channels, in Sky Golf magazine, press and billboards as well as activations at the event itself.
The campaign was loved so much by the client that they ran a similar version for their sponsorship of the Women’s Tennis Association event ‘Race to Shenzhen’ which again highlighted the sporty attributes of the Cayenne as well as the effort and time women tennis players dedicate in order to be given equal praise in an often male dominated sport.
